Patient Education

Patients and families who want to be healthy need information about how to avoid becoming ill or about health conditions they may have.  Since many chronic illnesses can be avoided, Family Medical Center emphasizes preventive medicine when you visit us for your healthcare.  Patient education can play an important role in your healthcare as you seek to improve your health.  Information is everywhere but it can be hard to know what to do when you have health concerns.  Our staff includes a Registered Dietitian who can help you find the information you need as well as provide counseling on how to go about making lifestyle changes to improve your and your family’s health.

More and more insurance plans are covering patient education services. Be sure to discuss this with a member of your care team at your next appointment. To make an appointment contact our appointment desk at 686-6560.
