The DFPM encourages research and scholarly activity by faculty, residents, and staff.

The DFPM faculty members have varied interests both from a clinical and research standpoint, including:

Projects that are currently in progress include training residents to understand and better serve underserved populations, increasing recruitment of medical students into Family Medicine, and improving rates of colorectal cancer screening.
