What is your home town?
Where did you attend medical school?
What other educational credentials do you have?
B.A. in biology from the University of Arkansas.
What are your particular clinical interests?
I most enjoy counseling my patients on lifestyle changes and finding them practical resources to help them obtain healthier lives. Weight loss and exercise are particular passions of mine. I also really like basic hands-on procedures and sports medicine.
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
I love being at the forefront of preventing disease and identifying modifiable risk factors with my patients. I love being able to educate my patients about these topics in hopes to motivate them to live healthier lives. I think this area makes Family Medicine unique and different from all other specialties.
Why did you choose the Little Rock Family Medicine residency program?
Little Rock is home to me, and I wanted to stay in Arkansas upon finishing residency. Our large academic center has so many incredible learning opportunities and is the home of the best physicians in the state. I wanted to be able to learn from the best and then take that knowledge to a more underserved region in the state.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?
I enjoy exercising, cooking and baking, playing with my two year old daughter, fishing, and just being outdoors with the family.
